About Us

Cindy Shrigley, MSW, RSW

I specialize in treating a wide range of conditions including anxiety, depression, addictions, past and current trauma. I have expertise in EMDR Therapy and am certified as an EMDRIA approved consultant. I have trained with world experts in the applications of EMDR for grief, traumatic grief, complex trauma, and dissociation, as well as peak performance. In my clinical practice, I assist people in developing an understanding of the new science of the human brain that allows them to develop compassion for themselves and an understanding of the reasons for their symptoms.
In my 25 years of counselling it has been important to me to find treatment strategies that provide the best results for clients. EMDR can be used for many issues and I have been able to successfully to treat conditions that standard talk therapy has been unable to address.
I also provide EMDR consultation to EMDR therapists internationally via Skype and present at conferences across Canada.
My office is an inviting, confidential, and healing space where clients can come to understand that all human issues are universal and leave with hope that help is available.

Tina Shrigley, M.Ed., RSW, PhD. Candidate

Tina is a Registered Social Worker in good standing in the province of Ontario. She has been in private practice for over 5 years and specializes in the treatment of trauma and dissociation using EMDR Therapy. She provides individual counselling and works with children, adolescents, and adults. Tina combines her past education in Kinesiology (the study of the body and human movement) with psychotherapy, which gives her a unique lens into how the brain and body work together. She uses this knowledge to help clients understand how some physical symptoms may have roots in psychological trauma, including chronic pain.

Tina is a First Nations and Inuit Health Branch approved provider and has extensive experience working with First Nations clients. She has also provided psychotherapy to clients who have been in motor vehicle accidents.

Tina is currently on sabbatical while she works on her PhD in Counselling Psychology and is not accepting new clients at this time. She will return in August 2018.
